Marvin is a seasoned technology executive with more than two decades of experience leading enterprise infrastructure, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, and digital innovation initiatives. His career began during the height of the dot-com boom, a transformative period that ignited his passion for technology and laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to solving complex business challenges through technology. Marvin earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Computer Applications from De La Salle University in 2001, Philippines. Early in his career, he developed a strong technical foundation as a System Administrator and IT professional, supporting business operations and mission-critical systems across multiple industries. Driven by a passion for continuous learning and innovation, he later pursued his Master of Science in Computer Science at Stanford University.

 

Throughout his career, Marvin has held leadership positions across diverse sectors, including legal services, business process outsourcing, media, visual effects, engineering consulting, and managed services. His experience spans systems administration, network engineering, software development, cloud architecture, project management, and executive IT leadership.

 

As Head of IT at Scanline VFX, a globally recognized visual effects studio later acquired by Netflix, Marvin led teams across North America and managed a 10,000-node render farm supporting major Hollywood productions. He collaborated with world-class production, editorial, and engineering teams while ensuring operational excellence, cybersecurity compliance, and 24/7 availability of critical services. Marvin spent more than a decade serving as IT Director for a Structural and Civil Engineering Firm, where he architected enterprise cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure, AWS [Amazon Web Services], and GCP [Google Cloud Platform]. During his tenure, he spearheaded cybersecurity initiatives, developed business continuity and disaster recovery programs, implemented firm-wide security awareness training, and led strategic technology modernization efforts. His work helped transform IT from a support function into a strategic business enabler. 

 

Today, Marvin serves as Founder and President of CIER Technologies, where he leads high-impact technology projects for managed services clients. His focus includes cloud and infrastructure management, cybersecurity strategy, IT roadmaps, digital transformation, and aligning technology investments with business objectives. A highly respected technology leader, Marvin holds numerous industry certifications across Microsoft, AWS, VMware, Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, and Linux platforms. His expertise encompasses cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, virtualization, AI platforms, enterprise SaaS solutions, and managed services.
